Booksy is one of the most prominent Polish tech startups, providing an appointment booking system for health and beauty services.

Background

Booksy transformed the market for services in local private practices and successfully expanded internationally, with the U.S. as its leading market.

The Challenge

In 2015, Booksy sought its first external funding in a seed round to support growth and international expansion. The challenge was to secure the right investor to provide both capital and strategic value.

Transaction

Aventis Advisors, in collaboration with Globalscope partner Carlsquare, acted as financial advisors to Booksy, helping to:

• Identify and engage potential investors
• Structure the fundraising process
• Secure funding from Müller Medien, a German media group operating across five business areas: directories, broadcast, print media, books, and new business

Outcome

The seed round provided Booksy with the capital to accelerate its growth. Since then, the platform has grown to over 13 million users and has raised more than $100M in total funding.
