Aventis advised Symfonia on the successful acquisition of Nefeni. Symfonia, backed by Accel-KKR and MidEuropa is the leading Polish provider of accounting, payroll, and ERP software solutions. Nefeni is a specialized software producer and IT systems specialist for the public sector.

Background

Symfonia offers software products for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises as well as for large corporations within the enterprise segment. The company is backed by well-known private equity funds: Accel-KKR and MidEuropa.

Nefeni has a strong presence in the software sector, especially within the public sector. The company’s products and systems are used by every fourth local government in Poland.

Transaction details

Through this acquisition, Symfonia not only strengthens its own capabilities but also creates additional value for Nefeni’s existing customer base. Nefeni’s clients will now gain access to Symfonia’s comprehensive suite of solutions, including advanced HR and payroll software, and electronic document flow systems, which are designed to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.

By integrating Nefeni’s solutions, Symfonia aims to deliver a comprehensive suite of software tools that address the unique demands of public institutions, positioning itself as a leader in the Polish software market with capabilities spanning both private and public sectors.

Nefeni’s founder and top leadership will remain integral post-acquisition, ensuring continuity and fostering integration within Symfonia.
